Build from varying square sizes as a structural foundation, inspired by mosaic tile and Escher-style design.
Grow larger shapes organically into layered designs that feel intentional and spontaneous at once.
Use different pens and tools to develop detail, what John calls a stream of poetry across the page.
Leave with a finished piece and a repeatable method for endless original compositions.

Who teaches it
John Milan, co-founder of Milan Art Institute, is a dynamic artist with more than 28 years of experience. Known for his vibrant mixed media oil paintings and bold color, he teaches with humor and imagination.
